Very often we use the statement, "I changed my mind". Is changing your mind that easy? If so why can't it be applied to our perception of the world around us. Just decide to believe that world peace is attainable.  What a concept.  Oh, I changed my mind and I no longer hate "those" people.....It doesn't take a lot of energy to switch from vanilla to strawberry. It's only your thoughts (your state of mind). All it takes is for enough people to believe in peace and it can be attained without spending any energy. Think about it. THEN BELIEVE IT.

I changed my mind and decided to use this illustration in place of another. I can just as easily decide to believe in the ultimate evolution of human beings into peace lovers.

Being patriotic in no way contradicts my belief in world peace. I "changed my mind" from thinking the USA was the "only country" to the realization that our membership in the world community as peaceful leaders could benefit all humans.
